L.A. POSTED: I Knew you were coming so I faked a cake.

So Stephanie's mom found these pretty nifty cupcake ornaments from a local woman who makes them. She sells them pretty cheap. The only thing we didn't really like about them was that they had these huge cherry toppers on them and the papers were in primary colors. You know I was just sitting there staring at her tree wondering how that lady made hers. My fake cupcakes are super sized and made from floral Styrofoam balls and Styrofoam drinking cups. Totally recycled craft. So this little thing has been gnawing in the back of my mind saying "You should know how to make these" so I googled it.

Turns out they are insanely priced on Ebay, however one of the fine folks over at Instructables.com posted exactly how they are made. Guess what? This craft requires a trip to Home Depot. Great! I love anything that gets me to ramble around a home repair store. I spent most of my teens in them as my parent's remodelled the house we lived in. It's like my very own memory store... anyway I seem to be getting off track. The Cupcakes posted looked extremely delicious and real and I figured if anyone else out there had a hard time trying to figure out how to make them I would post a link (not only for you, but incase I lose the instructions I wrote down.)
